Nice but simple
Nice useful program but a couple of bugs. Edge cannot be reduced to 1, program beeps and vibrates phone with every touch of a button with no way to disable it. All in all though a decent little helper.
good, could be better
would get five stars if it rerolling didnt use the damn slider and it didnt vibrate everytime you touch anything
Good stuff
This is a fantastic little tool. The slider takes some getting used to, but it does prevent accidental rerolls. The latest update was much appreciated, especially for the ability to turn off the sound.
Unimpressed
I have four dice rollers installed to support various gaming systems, and this is the worst. The UI is poorly conceived, requiring three actions to roll the same dice pool repeatedly. Ive never installed an app that violates so much of the iPhone HIG so inconsistently. The free version of this app is actually better than the paid version.
There are better ones out there
What I Liked: I did enjoy the 8 bit graphics, and the highlighting/indications concerning which dice can from edge adding dice, and exploding sixes. The app informs you of glitches and critical glitches The app is clunky but I can see people getting use to it and at 1 dollar it is a lot cheaper than dice The app wont be abducted by your cat like dice will. What I did not like: The app was ok and fills the function but it is not very user friendly. The random number generator is not very good. At low numbers there are excessive pairs and it seemed critical glitches were very common, even at 4 and 5 dice I got critical glitches 5 or 6 times more than glitches which does not match with probability. With large dice rolls the spread of the dice is more often than not boring and even. The one sound with accompanying vibrations is really annoying but can be turned off. This also means there is no sound of dice rolling which many gamers enjoy. There is no way to view dice history. There is a dice roller included in the shadowrun character manager that is slightly better and you get it in the package for a dollar more.
